For the fourth year running, Luxwerk was behind the lens for Scotford Fennessy’s annual Christmas party – and this year they did things a little differently. The team swapped the usual cocktail format for a country night at Nedlands Golf Club in Nedlands, complete with line dancing lessons from Cherry Steppers and enough western spirit to keep things going well into the evening.
Nedlands Golf Club made for a great setting – the kind of venue that feels relaxed without being casual, which suited the crowd of around 30 to 50 staff who came ready to have a good time. My job for the night was candid and group shots across the evening, capturing everything from the line dancing lessons mid-stumble to the quieter moments between colleagues at the end of the year.
There’s something different about photographing the same client four years in a row. You know the energy of the group, you know when to hang back and when to move in, and the staff are comfortable enough with the camera that the candid shots come naturally. That familiarity shows in the photos.
