Prosper Health Collective, 10 Year Celebrations.

Ten years is worth celebrating properly, and Prosper Health Collective did exactly that. To mark a decade in practice, founder and clinical psychologist Dr Kellie Cassidy brought the team together for an evening at Raffles Hotel in Applecross, one of those Perth venues that knows how to make a riverside sunset do most of the heavy lifting.

The event was held in the outdoor area overlooking the Swan River, which at that time of evening gave us some genuinely beautiful natural light to work with. Sunset shoots at riverside venues are some of my favourite corporate jobs.The warm light is flattering, the background takes care of itself, and guests tend to be relaxed in an outdoor setting in a way they’re not always in a ballroom. With around 50 guests, it was intimate enough that I could cover the whole room properly without missing anything.

I focused on a mix of candid guest interactions and posed group shots throughout the evening. Dr Cassidy gave a speech marking the occasion, the kind that covers where the practice started, how far it’s come, and what the next chapter looks like. And there was a cake to close out the night, which always makes for a clean, natural end to an event shoot.

Corporate anniversaries are an underrated occasion for photography. They sit somewhere between a staff party and a formal function, less structured than a gala, more meaningful than a Christmas party  and the images tend to reflect that. Clients often use them for internal communications, social media, and practice marketing in a way that straight event photos don’t always translate to.
